It is with great disappointment that we formally cancelling the Volleyball Victoria Primary Schools Cup and Junior Open for 2020. Further details can be found below.
We are incredibly saddened that we will not be able to host these events but, with indoor centres remaining closed for the foreseeable future, this was the obvious decision.
We are pleased to announce that planning is already underway for the 2021 Volleyball Victoria Schools Cups! Further details on these events, as well as the dates, can be found below.
I wish the best to all of our Volleyball Schools as some normality resumes with the return of students.
PRIMARY SCHOOLS CUP
As advised above the Primary Schools Cup has been officially cancelled for 2020. We are hoping to lock in the State Volleyball Centre soon to ensure that we can accommodate all teams on the single day again in 2021. We also encourage all of our schools to again get involved with our Sporting Schools program in 2021. Further details can be found by CLICKING HERE
VOLLEYBALL VICTORIA JUNIOR OPEN
After the large success of the inaugural Volleyball Victoria Junior Open (VVJO) in 2019 it was a very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 tournament. Volleyball Victoria remain committed to hosting the event in 2021 as we understand that it is imperative in Schools continuing their Volleyball program until the end of the year culminating in an enjoyable experience at the VVJO
Currently, the 2021 VVJO is planned to be hosted from Sunday 28 November until Wednesday 1 December. Volleyball Victoria is currently in contact with venues for the 2021 VVJO with an official announcement to be made once confirmation has been received.

Please note that, as was planned for 2020, in 2021 we have extended our One Day and Three Day (to Four Day) Schools Cups. These decisions have been made based on Schools feedback as well as the increased team entries over previous years.
The format of the extended competitions will be:
One Day Schools Cup
Day 1 – Years 7 & 8
Day 2 – Years 9 & 10
Day 3 – Years 11 & 12
Four Day Schools Cup
All Divisions played across Four Days
Further to this Volleyball Victoria are currently planning on hosting a special ‘GRADUATES DIVISION’ at the 2021 Four Day Schools Cup, which would be open to all 2020 Year 12 Students that missed the opportunity to compete in their ‘final’ Schools Cup. Details are yet to be confirmed but we welcome ALL FEEDBACK from Schools.
