This includes grants to help your sports club recoup costs incurred during the recent circuit breaker action as well as $200 vouchers from the Get Active Kids Voucher Program to support with the costs of participating in sport.
Get back in the game and apply today! Even if you’ve secured a grant before, there are several funding opportunities open to all Victorians.

Sporting Club Grants Program

If you’re looking for support with coronavirus (COVID-19) recovery and help with return to play in a COVIDSafe environment there’s an additional $6 million in the Sporting Club Grants Program this round.

This round provides two new additional funding categories that are available to sport and active recreation clubs, associations and leagues as well as State Sporting Associations and other recognised peak bodies.

Examples of things that can be supported include cleaning, hygiene and sanitisation supplies, record keeping, additional equipment and uniforms, physical distancing and COVID-19 signage and irrecoverable costs of cancelled or postponed sporting events during the five-day circuit breaker lockdown from 13 to 17 February 2021.

Grants range in value from up to $1000 to $5000.

There’s now a simplified and faster application process so applicants can look forward to finding out if they’ve been successful within 4-6 weeks of submission.

However, with faster turnaround times and a limited amount of grants we suggest you get in quick!

Applications will close 5pm, 19 April 2021.

Athlete Pathway Grants Program

The Athlete Pathway Grants Program provides assistance with costs for high performance and emerging athletes. It provides funds for travel and accommodation for high performance athletes representing Victoria and emerging athletes traveling to train or compete at events that contribute to their sporting pathway.

In great news, additional items that contribute to athlete development are now eligible for funding in this round. This acknowledges the impacts on travel due to COVID-19 and includes funding for things like competition entry and registration fees, online training and development programs, specialist coach training fees and sports psychologist fees to name a few.

Grants range in value from $750 to $6000.

Applications will close 5pm, 27 April 2021

Get Active Kids Voucher Program

The $21 million Get Active Kids Voucher Program targets young Victorians from families with low incomes or living in areas of relative socio-economic disadvantage who have lower levels of participation in sport and recreation.

The program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each.

Round 1 Applications will close 11.59pm, 11 April 2021

Change Our Game Scholarship Program

The Change Our Game Scholarship Program provides funding to support women working and volunteering in the sector to access professional development opportunities that will enhance skills in sport and recreation leadership and management.

Candidates for the Change Our Game Scholarship Program are to be nominated by peak sport and recreation bodies, local government authorities or regional sport assemblies.

Scholarships range in value from $2,000 to $10,000.

Applications will close 5pm, 2 April 2021
