Following the Victorian Government’s announcement about the gradual resumption of community sport, VicHealth publicly announced the recipients of the latest round of Active Club Grant funding in a state-wide media release on Tuesday 23 June 2020.

One of those recipients is Eastern Metropolitan Volleyball Association, which  is expanding its women’s only volleyball competition by five teams to provide more opportunities for women to join and play.

VicHealth’s Active Club Grants make a significant contribution to the Victorian community by improving the health of less active Victorians. The grants aim to provide more opportunities to safely participate in sport, with a particular focus on people who otherwise would not get these opportunities.

This round, 153 community sport clubs throughout Victoria will share almost $500,000 of funding. Some example social media posts with images are below to help you promote Active Club Grants on social media.
