Thank you to the more than 50 representatives of the 24 Affiliates, State League Clubs, Coaches, and Referees who joined us on Sunday, 1 March for the second Annual Affiliate Development Conference.
Volleyball Victoria would like to extend our thanks to Victoria University, and in particular Loretta Konjarski for her significant support for this event, and her colleagues Alan McWilliams, Dr Bert Oraison, and Dr Michael Burke for their generous assistance and presentations.
Volleyball Victoria look forward to the continuation of this event and to growing and improving the experience for all participants.

Annual General Meeting
Please be advised that notice has been provided for the Annual General Meeting to be held at 5:00pm, Saturday 18 April at the State Volleyball Centre. Nominations for the Committee close 12:00midnight, 20 March.
At this time, the existing Committee Members, Officer Directors Elizabeth Tupper and Brendan Fleiter, and Ordinary member Christie Jenkins, have all indicated their intent to renominate. The Nominations Committee endorses the skillset represented by the current Committee; expressions of interest from the community are welcome.

Rules of Association
Further to Affiliate consultations that commenced in December 2019 and have continued at the Affiliate Conference and Warrnambool Seaside Tournament, the Volleyball Victoria Committee will be presenting a motion to update the Rules of Association, addressing changes necessary to ensure ongoing compliance with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act (2012).

Awards & Recognition
Nominations for Distinguished Service and Life Membership also close 20 March and nomination forms are available by contacting Victoria Ellis, Organisation Development, co firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone the Office, 03 9794 0009.
The Committee will host the annual Affiliate Awards Dinner following the Annual General Meeting. Affiliate Presidents will receive a formal invitation to attend the function as guests of Volleyball Victoria.
In the meantime, Affiliates are asked to consider the individuals, initiatives, and associates that have achieved success in 2019. Nominations will be accepted for the following categories:
- Most Outstanding Association
Awarded to the Association that is an engaged partner of Volleyball Victoria who achieves growth through the provision of quality experiences
- Most Outstanding Junior Program
Awarded to an affiliate that has contributed to the growth and development of junior volleyball in their community
III. Excellence in Coaching
Awarded to the individual who has made an outstanding contribution by providing support, development, and growth of coaches and/or athletes within their Club, Association, or Victoria.
- Volunteer Achievement Award
Awarded to an individual who provides outstanding services to volleyball in the areas of administration, officiating, and volunteering at Club, Association or State level.
- Most Outstanding School
Awarded to the school that is an engaged partner of Volleyball Victoria who supports growth in the sport and achieves a high standard of success on court
- Most Outstanding Teacher
Awarded to the teacher who provides outstanding leadership and supports growth and development of volleyball in the education sector.
