2022 Level 2 Referee Course
Volleyball Victoria will be hosting a Level 2 Referee Course on Sunday 5th June. This course will be completely online using Zoom and it will be presented by Kevin Nguyen.
The course will cover the rules of volleyball, how to score, hand signals and more.
Attendees will be tested on their ability to apply knowledge and understanding of the rules and upon completion of the course, will be granted a Level 2 Referee Candidacy Accreditation.
Referees can then be assessed in match situations in various referee roles before achieving their full Level 2 accreditation.
To register for this course, the cost is $90 for adults and $75 for Under 19 Members. This cost includes the Volleyball Australia Accreditation fee of $27.50.
Attendees of this course MUST meet the following criteria:
- Be a Level 1 Referee (current or recently expired)
- Be a Volleyball Victoria member
- Complete the Sport AUS Play by the Rules “Child Protection” (adults 18+ only) online courses
- Complete the Sport AUS Play by the Rules “Harassment & Discrimination” online courses
- Complete the Sport AUS Community Officiating General Principles Course
A referee is fully accredited as a Volleyball Australia Level 2 Referee when they successfully attain / complete the following post-course requirements.
- Complete Referee Log Book
- Be assessed as a First Referee and as a Second Referee
- Be a Volleyball Victoria member
- Complete the Sport AUS Play by the Rules “Child Protection” (adults 18+ only) online courses
- Complete the Sport AUS Play by the Rules “Harassment & Discrimination” online courses
- Complete the Sport AUS Community Officiating General Principles Course

COURSE LIMITATIONS:
A minimum of 6 participants must be registered for this course to proceed.
In the event of excess registrations, VVI reserves the right to prioritise referees who require this accreditation prior to upcoming events (i.e. AYBVC).
