Melbourne Vipers Announce Coaches

Volleyball Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of the head coaches for the 2023 Australian Volleyball Super League season.

PROGRAM UPDATE

VV have purchased a license to participate in this years Australian Volleyball Super League and with backing of sponsorship, we are proud to announce a reduction of fees.

This year Super League will follow a similar format to that of the professional league in India. All matches will be compulsory 5 sets, with all sets won contributing to the overall standings.

5 rounds will run throughout August and September with finals being held in Bendigo on September 16th and 17th in conjunction with the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships.

TRIALS

AVSL will be held on Sunday April 16th & 23rd at Dandenong Stadium.

Trial 1: Sunday April 16 (C11 & 12)

Women 9am – 11am / Men 11am – 1pm

Trial 2: Sunday April 23 (C11 & 12)

Men 9am – 11am / Women 11am – 1pm

Location: State Volleyball Centre, 270 Stud Rd, Dandenong North, VIC, 3175

Cost: $30 per athlete

SELECTION

Teams of 12 will be selected for each gender to compete in this years AVSL.

Additional squad members will be selected to program to train will be elevated to the team in the event of injury, illness etc.

*Refunds will not be permitted for any athletes that miss any rounds. All athletes are to make themselves available for all rounds.  

TRAININGS

Trainings will run for 2.5 hours on Sundays, predominantly at the State Volleyball Centre, Dandenong. Trainings will be held at other venues such as MSAC during the Youth State Team Trials which are scheduled for Sunday May 14th, 21st, 28th and June 4th.
