Notice of AGM and Board Nominations

NOTICE OF VOLLEYBALL VICTORIA INC

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

VENUE: MELBOURNE SPORTS & AQUATICS CENTRE (MSAC)

30 AUGHTIE DRIVE
ALBERT PARK

We herewith give notice that the Annual General Meeting of Volleyball Victoria will take place at 10:00am Sunday, 19 May 2024, at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatics Centre, 30 Aughtie Drive, ALBERT PARK.

In accordance with Rule 11.2 the business to be transacted at this meeting shall be to:

(1)  Confirm the Minutes of the last preceding Annual General Meeting held on Saturday 29 April 2023

(2)  Receive from the Board, reports upon the transactions of the Association during the last preceding year

(3)  Receive and consider the Financial Statements submitted by the Board in accordance with section 90 of the Act

(4)  Present the Budget for 2024

(5)  Appoint Auditors for 2024

(6)  Receive notification of the outcome of the election of the Elected Directors

(7)  Presentation of Awards (including Special Resolutions for Life Membership and Distinguished Service)

(8)  Special Business

Three (3) Elected Director positions are up for election at this year’s AGM. 

In accordance with the VVI Constitution, the following Elected Directors are up for re-election:
•    Peter Hertan
•    Lauren Dinning
•    Elizabeth Tupper (not seeking re-election)

As required by the Constitution, we are required to seek Nominations from Voting Members for these three Elected Director Board positions. 

Nominations must be made in accordance with the attached process and Nominee Criteria.

Deadline to submit nominations is 9am 24 April 2024 to admin@volleyballvictoria.org.au
