A Strong Bond

With the closing of Volleyball Victoria’s Blood Challenge, it has been an incredibly rewarding season to watch our community step forward, roll up their sleeves and take part in the Blood Challenge for 2022. All VVL clubs participated in this challenge to see which club was able to donate the most amount of blood. As well as players, locals far and wide in the community were eligible to and allocate themselves under their desired club. In final, Maroondah Cobras were able to achieve a clean sweep. A total of 62 donations were registered throughout the challenge period (20 blood, 42 plasma) supplying enough blood to help save 186 lives. An outstanding result to witness.

Award Winners

  • Most Donations: Maroondah Cobras Volleyball Club (23)
  • Most Plasma Donations: Maroondah Cobras Volleyball Club (13)
  • Most New Donors: Maroondah Cobras Volleyball Club (2)

Even though the challenge is over, the need for blood does not stop!
