Volleyball Victoria COVID-19 Update – 9th June 2021

Following the announcement from the Acting Premier on Wednesday 9th June 2021, there are several changes to Regional and Metropolitan Melbourne restrictions commencing 11:59pm Thursday 10th June 2021. Please see below summary of restrictions that affect Volleyball activities. 

Metropolitan Melbourne 

Indoor physical recreation & sport: Closed

Outdoor physical recreation & sport:

  • Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm
  • A maximum venue capacity: 100 people
  • No venue limit if 100m distance can be maintained between groups (e.g. golf)
  • Maximum group size: 10
  • Community sport: Training only, no competition permitted and 25km limit applies. Limited to the number required to participate in and facilitate activity

Regional Victoria

Indoor physical recreation & sport:

  • Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm
  • Maximum venue capacity 150, including no more than 50 indoors
  • Maximum group size: 10 people indoors, 20 outdoors
  • Community sport: Open for all ages, training and competition
  • Cannot travel into metropolitan Melbourne for community sport
  • Limited to minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity and must be within venue caps above

Outdoor physical recreation & sport:

  • Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm
  • Maximum venue capacity 150 people, including no more than 50 indoors
  • No venue limit if 100m distance can be maintained between groups (e.g. golf)
  • Maximum group size: 20 people
  • Community sport: Open for all ages, training and competition, but cannot travel intro metropolitan Melbourne (unless for work) and must be within venue caps above
