Volleyball Victoria General Manager Report – September

There seems to be a familiarity to each of my monthly reports. In Metropolitan Melbourne and parts of Regional Victoria we are still in lockdown 6.0.

Volleyball Victoria has updated members on events and activities affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and these notifications can be read on the Volleyball Victoria website.

Like most State Sporting Organisations, our staff are on reduced hours due to the impact on the organisation. We ask our stakeholders, affiliates and members to  please be patient as we will return your calls and emails and all queries as soon as possible.

Importantly, significant work is being done behind the scenes to ensure a smooth and quick transition back to sport when the restrictions enable us to return to Volleyball.

It has been a very challenging period for all, and Victorians have felt the effect of the pandemic in numerous ways.

We are working towards the return to sport and hopeful we can deliver the Volleyball Victoria Schools Championship in late November / early December. A reminder, entries are now open for this event until 15 October 2021.

I look forward to my report next month and the ability to convey more positive news with of a return to sport.

Yours Sincerely,

Martin Stillman

General Manager
