Following the Victorian Government announcement on 1st September 2021 that lockdown will be extended until 70 per cent of Victorians have had at least one dose of vaccine, which is estimated to be around 23rd September 2021, it is with great regret that Volleyball Victoria have made the very difficult decision to officially conclude the 2021 State League season with no premierships awarded.

This is obviously a very disappointing outcome but there are simply circumstances beyond our control in terms of our strong desire to conclude the season with a finals series.

Volleyball Victoria would like to take this opportunity to again thank all clubs for your support across the past (8) weeks of uncertainty and commend your determination and resilience under very difficult circumstances. While it is with a heavy heart the we make the decision to cancel the 2021 season, we will now turn our efforts to planning a virtual awards dinner to announce club based awards and acknowledge those teams that excelled across the season.

We take this opportunity to also thank the wider Volleyball Victoria State League community for its ongoing support and encourage you and your communities to stay healthy, safe and strong as we move forward together towards the 2022 season.
